Pointes

Every ballerina strives to dance on pointes. Pointe work demands great strength in the feet, ankles and legs. A good posture of the spine is absolutely essential. 

If one possesses the necessary physical capacities and a good understanding of Ballet technique then one may apply for this class. The dancer must have the correct age, good placement, technique and follow a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week. 

Pointe work starts at the age 11. Adults must have an intermediate level to be able to start.
